CURC Executive Director Participates in Panel Discussion on Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Act

CURC Executive Director Shannon Angielski participated in a panel discussion hosted by the United States Energy Association titled "Upgrading the the 45Q Tax Credit:  Panel Discussion on the Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Act”.  She was joined on the panel by the following participants:

-Jan Brunner, Senior Energy Policy Advisor to Senator Shelley Moore Capito

-Aaron Goldner, Energy Policy Advisor to Senator Sheldon Whitehouse

-David Mohler, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Clean Coal and Carbon Management at DOE

-Judi Greenwald, Deputy Director for Climate, Environment, and Energy Efficiency at DOE

-Erin Burns, Policy Advisor at Third Way

Participants discussed the broad bipartisan support for the CCUS Act (S. 3179), and the effect that strengthening and extending the Section 45Q tax credit for carbon sequestration could have on the development and deployment of CCUS technologies.
