Today, CURC Executive Director Shannon Angielski sent a letter to the Biden administration outlining the need for investment in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technology development and deployment in upcoming energy, climate, and infrastructure legislation.
The letter notes how investment in CCUS can help to achieve the objectives of the “Build Back Better” plan upon which the President campaigned, helping to achieve global and domestic emissions reductions objectives while maintaining and creating good-paying jobs. Investment in the clean energy infrastructure of the future – including CCUS – can also help the U.S. in its recovery from the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
